Mrs. Hooton is a long-time native of North Alabama, specifically, Cullman; however, she is from Riverside, California.  She holds a B.S. Degree in Education with an emphasis on Social Science from Athens State University and a M.Ed. in Library Media Technology from Jacksonville State University.  Mrs. Hooton has worked in the education field since 1997, beginning with Vinemont School in the Cullman County School System.  She has had the pleasure of working with the Faculty, Staff, and Students of Sparkman High School since 2011 as the Library Media Technology Specialist.

Mrs. Hooton is married to Mark Hooton a mechanical engineer with NASA.  Together, they have 7 children, 6 grandchildren, and two “fur-babies.”
