My name is Katherine Neis. I am a West Texas native who has called Alabama home for more than 16 years. I moved to the Madison County area 12 years ago. I am a graduate of McMurry University in Abilene, TX, with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies, and I have over 19 years of teaching experience. I am starting my 12th year teaching at Sparkman High School. I am the coach of the Sparkman High School Varsity Dance Team, and I teach PreAP English 10 and English 11. I could not be more proud to be a part of the Sparkman Family!!
My husband, Rex, is retired from the army after 24 years of service and spends his free time flipping houses. I have a 14 year old daughter, Sarah, who will be attending Sparkman 9th Grade School this year. She is active in studio dance, a member of her studio's competition team, and a member of the SHS Varsity Dance Team.
I believe that every child has the potential to be successful not only in the classroom but in anything he or she sets out to do. It is my job to help open the door to personal success for each child who walks into my room.
