Mrs. Reid is originally from Tennessee, but has lived in the Sparkman area for the past nine years.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Middle Tennessee State University and worked several years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and received her Master of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.  During her time as a VR Counselor, Mrs. Reid enjoyed working with high school students that had special needs and decided to return to school to become a special education teacher.  She received her Master of Education in Special Education at Middle Tennessee State University.  Mrs. Reid worked four years at Cascade High School in Wartrace, Tennessee.  During her time at Cascade High School she helped with their newly formed marching band program and was the color guard instructor.  The Cascade Band and Color Guard won two State championships during her time there.

Mrs. Reid moved to Alabama and worked six years at Meridianville Middle School in Hazel Green.  Mrs. Reid went to work at Moores Mill Intermediate when it was built and worked there for three years.  During her time at Moores Mill Intermediate, she obtained her Instructional Leadership certification at Samford University.   She is currently finishing up her National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist as well as working on her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

Mrs. Reid is celebrating her 10th year anniversary this year to her husband Willie.  They enjoy traveling, motorcycle riding, and spending time with their very spoiled English bulldog named Daisy.

Mrs. Reid is thrilled to be part of the Sparkman family and is looking forward to the opportunity to work with the students of her community.
