Mrs. Meininger is originally from México City and moved to Southern California with her parents and siblings in 1982. In 1999, Mrs. Meininger married Rik Meininger and they started a family of their own having two children, Christopher and Marina.
Mrs. Meininger obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Management and has worked in the private sector for close to 20 years. Over a ten-year period, she worked in Simi Valley, California for a world leader in the design and manufacture of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Mrs. Meininger worked closely with the Director of Contracts and Legal Affairs in project aspects such as Contract Administration, Marketing, and Export Licensing for the Pointer, Raven, and NASA Dryden’s HALE Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAS). The work performed by Mrs. Meininger was instrumental in the early growth of the technology explosion which was coalescing into one of the major business forces now known as the UAV industry.
After relocating to Huntsville, Alabama in 2005, Mrs. Meininger focused on raising her two children, Christopher and Marina. In 2009, while volunteering at Legacy Elementary, Mrs. Meininger chose to pursue a job in education and in 2010 was selected to join the faculty and staff at Harvest Elementary School as a computer lab instructional aide, webmaster and technical contact.
During academic year 2013-2014 she was selected as Harvest Elementary’s Support Professional of the Year and subsequently as 2013-2014 Madison County’s Support Professional of the Year.
This success led to an interest in serving Madison County Schools in a different capacity, this time serving as registrar for over 1,800 students at Sparkman High School. Go Senators!
