Howdy! My name is Jake Siefert and I teach 10th grade US History as well as 12th grade Government here at beautiful Sparkman High School. I am also the boys varsity soccer coach. I am absolutely excited about this academic year and the chance to not only get to know your child but also the privilege to teach and empower them. I believe firmly in the supremacy of education and I can still remember the teachers and mentors who impacted me and challenged me to become more. I will likewise challenge your youngster and push them to be the best they can be. I believe each child has unique gifts and abilities to offer the world and those gifts merely need realized and unlocked so they can, in turn, impact the world around them as well. I believe strongly in firm and fair discipline but I also feel it must be done in love. Thank you for entrusting me with your child and I pledge to nurture and empower them to become the best and brightest student and person. I have a wonderful wife, Rebekah, whom I've been married to for 10 years. We have two terrific sons, Solomon and Cyrus, and I promise to treat your child the way I value my own beloved family. My family and I love God and strive to live for His glory. We attend church at Summit Crossing Community Church. We enjoy sports, recreation, being outside, and just spending time together. I myself love a wide variety of musical genres. I am an avid reader and also dabble a little with writing poems, short stories, and other musings. I'm a huge fan of sports/athletics and also the great outdoors. I am wild about college football and ever since I was a kid, my favorite team has always been THE Ohio State University Buckeyes. Lastly, teaching is my passion and my life's work and I am super pumped about the amazing things we'll accomplish this year here at SHS. GO SENATORS!
