I am excited to be serving as one of your school counselors for the upcoming academic year! This will be my fifth year as a school counselor, but my first in the state of Alabama.
My family recently relocated from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, where I grew up (Go Cubs!). My wife, Liz, is originally from Alabama, and we are thrilled to be returning to her home state. Our daughter, Finley, and pet Newfoundland, Zeke, made the trip down with us.
My previous experience as a school counselor has been split between two high schools with well over 2,000 students, Wheaton Warrenville South High School and Oswego East High School, where I also coached boys volleyball. I attended Illinois Wesleyan University for my bachelor's degree in Psychology, received a master's in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University, and completed requirements for my certificate in School Counseling from Northern Illinois University.
When I'm not in my office, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing/watching sports, and catching up with friends over good food.
I believe that each student is uniquely gifted, and possesses great potential and purpose for this world. I am looking forward to getting to know the students and families that I will be working with, and helping them along in their journey!
