I am the new Engineering/Robotics Instructor here at Sparkman. I am from a small town in Lamar County, Alabama, known as Sulligent. I graduated from Hamilton High School, home of the Aggies, located in Marion County. I live in a small town known as Hackleburg, Alabama; so I commute a good way each day. I received my Associates in Science Degree from Bevill State Community College. I went on to the University of Alabama with plans to attend law school and received my B.A. in Arts & Science, majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in mathematics. After discovering my love for numbers and statistics, I went back to school attending the University of North Alabama and obtained my Masters in Mathematics for Secondary Education. Every summer since I have been a teacher, I work in a factory that builds Manufactured Homes. I have a passion for applied mathematics in the workforce, and teaching engineering is allowing me to combine my two passions. I have a little girl who is 6 years old now and she is the center of my life outside of work. All my life I have dreamed of working in a school like Sparkman High School, with such amazingly supportive staff and motivated students, so I am literally living my dream! I am so happy to be part of the Sparkman family and the Lead teacher of the Robotics program. I love embarking on these journeies that await me with each of my students!
